Amazing, I would love to go there.
That Torii gate it's huge. I know that 'cuz I saw it with my own eyes.
oh wow it's a Torii gate made of wood right? you rarely ever see that, a lot of them are made of cement these days, it must be really old wish I could go to japan and see these things myself one day
The largest torii in Japan is actually at Heian Jingu in Kyoto I have been to both of these places in the past week, I can vouch for it as a fact haha. This is a lovely picture though, I love it!
Thanks! I don't remember where I read that this is the tallest one, but yes, Heian Jingu Torii seems to be over two times taller than the one in Meiji Shrine. I found also information about Yasukuni Shrine Torii, which is also a huge gate.
hahaha i remember stumbling upon this entrance and not knowing what he hell it was. I saw the Chrysanthemum symbols on the Torii so I knew it must have been something important.
Ah, I've actually been to the Meiji Shrine, so seeing this beautiful picture brings back such fond memories. <3
I'm glad you like it, thanks!
Oh, I love the symmetry! The warm filter in this picture is especially nice.
What sort of filters did you use?
Wow! I really wanna go there, it's like a dream or something
On muuten tosi upee!!
Kiitoksia! Meiji Shrine ympäristöineen oli kyllä vaikuttava kokemus.
Very impressive sight!
I can feel the inner peace. Say did you edit the colours in the picture or did you play with the White balance?
