Recycling center ? as in ready to get dismantled ? ... I thought it was a museum or something, I hope this beauty survives humanity (: ~ I would much rather have one of these machines than a bran new ~
The place is "kierrätyskeskus" in Finnish and a direct translation would be "recycling center", but it's not only a recycling center, it's also like a flea market. This sewing machine was for sale, but I don't remember the price.
Oh, I love flea markets ! I've found every priceless item in such places! Thanks for replying, I was truly wondering if such a beautiful antique had a chance, If I had been there I totally would've buy it ! Here in the US such antiques can sell for skyrocketing prices ! ... there is something In Finnish that I love... Metal Bands!! Gosh, most of them are absolutely amazing ((:
Oh also you find real treasure at antique stores, but they give me the shivers O_O ! lol ~ Oh the 90's were like the ugh times! Big hair and spray *pukes*, at least we had the classic metal bands to listen to... but thanks to the metal gods [ I dunno who they are haha ] we have Finnish metal bands \m/
Great picture! My family name used to be Köhler a few generations back, but someone like my great-grandfather changed it. Anyway I think it's pretty common overseas. I just liked this picture anyway. I didn't see the writing on it until I saw it full size.
