this touches my heart - do you happen to know the swedish painter and illustrator carl larsson? my mother, a hobby painter, adored his art, and from her i know him - he painted many scenes like this...

a while ago i found a fascinating artist here on deviant art - he made a wicked photomontage using van gogh´s famous "room with yellow bed" (and his whole gallery is well worth visiting)...

edit: i looked again, it´s an oil painting (wow), but he has several photos in his gallery from the inside of a cello, that he used for this painting...
